Today’s game between the New York Mets and the Washington Nationals has been rained out in Viera, Fla..

Meanwhile back at St. Lucie, Mets right-hander Matt Harvey pitched in a minor league game on Saturday morning. He allowed six runs (five earned) in 3 1/3 innings pitched. Harvey was done after 71 pitches. “I think the biggest thing was just getting our pitch count up,” Harvey said after the game.

The Mets will now head back to Port St. Lucie to host the Boston Red Sox for a 1:10 PM game at Tradition Field on Sunday. It’s a great match-up as RHP Noah Syndergaard will start for the Mets and oppose LHP David Price. for the Red Sox.
