Per Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, Neil Walker has been traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports was first to report the deal was close to being completed.

Walker sustained a serious hamstring injury this summer which drastically affected his trade value, however he has still hit a respectable .264/.339/.442 with 10 home runs and 36 RBIs in 73 games.

Unlike Jay Bruce, Walker was ineligible for qualifying offer this offseason after already receiving one previously. Therefore, the Mets would not have been compensated if he had signed elsewhere.

In 51 career games at Miller Park, Walker has hit .286/.332/.534 with 11 home runs, 16 doubles and 31 RBIs.

This article will be updated with more details, such as the return as well as how much of Walker’s contract the Brewers will be paying. Stay tuned!
