When the Mets come back up north from Florida, they won’t be going straight to Flushing. They’ll first be making a pit stop in Syracuse, NY, where they’ll be having a full team workout for all to attend.

Their final spring workout, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University on March 26 from 12 p.m.-2 p.m., the Syracuse Mets announced. All of the players and coaches will be there, as well as Brodie Van Wagenen, Jeff Wilpon, Mr. Met, the Syracuse mascot Scooch, and more. There will also be in-park player and fan interviews. This will be the first season with Syracuse as the Mets Triple-A affiliate.

This will be the final tune-up before the regular season starts on March 28 in Washington against the Nationals. They then travel to Miami for another three-game set before coming back to Queens for the Mets home opener against the Nationals on April 4. The Mets will be playing only NL East teams (excepting for a two-game home series against the Twins) until April 17.
