The New York Mets announced they have tendered contracts to every on their 40-man roster including the nine arbitration eligible players.
Matt Harvey, Zack Wheeler, Jacob deGrom, Noah Syndergaard, Hansel Robles, Wilmer Flores, AJ Ramos and Jeurys Familia are the Mets arbitration eligible players. Combined they are projected by MLB Trade Rumors to make $43.6 million in 2018.
The Mets 40-man roster is currently sitting at 39 players. The deadline for teams and arbitration eligible players to submit salary figures for their forthcoming contract is on January 13.

The New York Mets have decided to tender contracts to right-handed pitchers Matt Harvey and Zack Wheeler for the 2018 season according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.
Puma reports that the Mets are expected to tender eight of their arbitration eligible players by the 8 p.m. ET deadline Friday night. The other six players Puma list are Jacob deGrom, Noah Syndergaard, Hansel Robles, Wilmer Flores, AJ Ramos and Jeurys Familia.
Harvey, 28, struggled mightily in 2017 going 5-7 with a 6.70 ERA, 6.37 FIP and a career worst 6.5 SO/9 over 92.2 innings for the Mets. There had been some discussion about whether or not the ineffectiveness of Harvey over the past two seasons would make him a non-tender candidate.
Wheeler, 27, is another Mets starter that struggled in 2017 on his way to a 5.21 ERA, 5.03 FIP and allowed 15 home runs in only 86.1 innings. It was the first season Wheeler had pitched in the major leagues since 2014.

- Ramos – $9.2 million
- Familia – $7.4 million
- d’Arnaud – $3.4 million
- Flores – $3.7 million
- deGrom – $9.2 million
- Syndergaard – $1.9 million
- Robles – $1.0 million
Harvey, Familia and Ramos are in their last season of arbitration and will become free agents following the 2018 season.
Interestingly enough, Puma left out Travis d’Arnaud on his list of players he expects the Mets to tender a contract. There hasn’t been any reports suggesting that the Mets would non-tender d’Arnaud so I’m going to assume this was simply a mistake by Puma.
