The Mets announced on Wednesday they have signed right-handed pitcher Denyi Reyes and left-hand pitcher Zach Muckenhirn to minor league deals with invites to spring training.

Reyes, 26, made his major league debut last season in three games with the Baltimore Orioles. He allowed two earned runs in 7.2 IP while striking out three batters and walking only one. In the minors last season, Reyes had a 6.60 ERA in 17 games, including 12 starts.

Muckenhirn, a 2016 11th-round pick by Baltimore, pitched last season in AAA in the Chicago White Sox organization, where he finished with a 3.11 ERA in 47 games. Muckenhirn struck out 56 batters in 55 IP and had a WHIP of 1.35.

The signings continue a trend of the Mets adding depth to their pitching staff this offseason. The team has traded for Jeff Bringham and Elieser Hernández and  claimed Stephen Ridings, Tayler Saucedo, and William Woods off of waivers already this offseason.
