The New York Mets announced Monday that they have signed RHP Jonathan Albaladejo to a minor league deal.

Albaladejo, 34, pitched in the Major Leagues from 2007-2010 and 2012 for the Nationals, Yankees and Diamondbacks. In 66 career appearances he has thrown 76.2 innings, striking out 56 and walking 32. He has a career 1.422 WHIP, 4.34 ERA and 4.89 FIP.

Pitching for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League this season, he won seven games pitching to a 4.44 ERA with 103 strikeouts in 99 1/3 innings.

He had a strong 2016 campaign during which he went 15-6 with a 4.06 ERA in 172.2 innings. He was teammates with former Met favorite Endy Chavez who hit .345 in 95 games for Bridgeport in 2016.
