Jeurys Familia will make his first MLB start on Monday against the Marlins.

As the season draws to an end, the Mets announced their starters for the final three games of the season against the Marlins in Miami.

Jeurys Familia will start Monday night’s game against the Marlins. Terry Collins mentioned that h wanted to give Familia a start before the end of the season. Familia went 9-9 with a 4.73 ERA in 28 starts for Triple-A Buffalo this season. In seven relief appearances for the Mets this season, Familia has an 8.64 ERA in 8.1 innings pitched. The ERA is skewed however because of one bad appearance in which he allowed five earned runs in 2/3 of an inning last week against the Phillies.

R.A. Dickey will make his final start of the season on Tuesday. Collins was holding off on making it official after Dickey tossed 128 pitches in winning his 20th game on Thursday. But after watching his ace throw a great bullpen session on Saturday, Collins said Dickey was good to go for Tuesday. This game could ultimately decide  Dickey’s fate in the Cy Young voting, it should be a good one.

Jeremy Hefner will start the season finale on Wednesday afternoon. Hefner is coming off a spectacular performance on Friday when he tossed seven scoreless innings in the Mets’ 6-0 win over Pittsburgh, allowing just three hits, striking out seven and walking just one batter.

This is it, I can’t believe this season is over in three days. I’m gonna miss these guys.
