Brandon Nimmo was scratched from the lineup prior to the start of Wednesday’s spring training game against the Houston Astros for an unknown reason.
As a result, the Mets had Ryan Cordell start in center field and hit second in the lineup.
It is certainly worth noting that Nimmo missed much of the 2019 season with a bulging cervical disk in his neck. We’ll update this article when more information is released.
