In addition to the information shared below, UniWatch also reported that the Mets will debut their City Connect jerseys on Friday, April 26.

UniWatch did not have any details of what the jersey would look like, but he correctly pointed out that the Mets usually wear their black jerseys on Fridays. The jersey could include a nod to that. UniWatch says the design will likely be revealed about a week before the jersey debuts.

The Mets are one of 10 teams who do not have a City Connect jersey through Nike.

The changes keep coming in Queens. Following a design update to their black caps, which saw the removal of the white shadow drop, the jerseys are close behind. Per Paul Lukas at UniWatch, the Mets plan to remove the white shadow drop from the jerseys also. Here is a mock-up:

The white layer has been removed from the logo, the player name and number on the back and front. It’s a controversial look, as it may make it harder to read the jersey name or number from a long distance.
