The Mets announced Tuesday that they have recalled RHP Kevin McGowan from Triple-A Las Vegas. He will be active for Tuesday night’s game against the Phillies and will wear No. 61.

McGowan, 25, had a cup of coffee with the Mets late last month, appearing in just one game yielding one run on two hits in 1.1 innings.

With the 51’s this season, the former 13th round pick appeared in 47 games and pitched to a 6-5 record with a 4.15 ERA.

In addition to McGowan, New York has also added minor league short-season hitting coordinator Ryan Ellis to the coaching staff for the final month of the season. He will wear No. 60.
