On Wednesday, the New York Mets announced that their game with the Detroit Tigers was postponed due to inclement weather. The Tigers vs. Mets game was postponed for the second straight night, and they will play a single-admission doubleheader on Thursday that begins at 12:10 p.m. ET at Citi Field.

Gates will open at 11:10 a.m. and parking lots will open at 10:10 a.m. Game two will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one.

Tickets for Wednesday’s game WILL NOT be valid for admission to the makeup doubleheader.

Fans currently holding a paid ticket in their account valid for entry to Wednesday’s game will receive a digital voucher loaded into their My Mets Tickets account (accessed by clicking the Vouchers tab) that will be accessible Thursday morning. Digital ticket vouchers can be exchanged for a ticket comparable in price and location to another Mets 2024 regular season home game at Citi (excluding Mets vs. Yankees, June 25–26; additional blackout dates may apply).

Ticket holders for Wednesday’s game with a prepaid parking pass will automatically receive a digital parking voucher. Digital parking vouchers can be accessed via My Mets Tickets and are redeemable for prepaid parking for another Mets 2024 regular season home game at Citi Field (excluding Mets vs. Yankees, June 25–26; additional blackout dates may apply).

The Mets will now play 15 games in the next 14 days. It will be interesting to see how the Mets handle the pitching with Tylor Megill recently going on the injured list. Players like Joey Lucchesi and Jose Buttó can’t be called up –they were optioned to start the season and have to wait 15 days (April 12)– unless it’s as the 27th player in a doubleheader or for a player being placed on the injured list. Pitchers like Christian Scott and Mike Vasil, who aren’t on the 40-man roster, can be called up before April 12 but would require a 40-man roster move.
