Robert Murray of The Athletic reports that the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates have reopened trade talks regarding Starling Marte.

Marte, 31, is coming off a 2019 season in which he hit .295/.342/.503 with 23 home runs, 82 RBI, and 25 stolen bases. That gave him a 119 wRC+ and 3.0 fWAR. Defensively, he had two outs above average in center field.

The two-time Gold Glove center fielder will make $11.5 million in 2020 and has a $12.5 million club option for the 2021 season.
