For the seventh time in two-plus weeks, the Mets had their game postponed, this time due to snowfall in Denver.

Though official word hasn’t come from the team, MLB.com’s schedule shows Friday’s game versus the Colorado Rockies as postponed with a makeup on Saturday in a back-to-back doubleheader starting at 5:10 p.m. EST. The second game will start about 30 minutes after the first one ends.

The plan was to start Jacob deGrom on Friday with Joey Lucchesi on Saturday and Marcus Stroman on Sunday. That order should still be the case, though we’ll wait for official word from the team as to who will start game one of the doubleheader and who will toe the mound for game two.

Temperatures for Saturday have sunny skies in the afternoon but temperatures in the high 30s and low 40s.

Trevor May also seemed to hint the game was postponed despite no official word from the Mets or Rockies.

The Mets have now had three games postponed due to COVID-19 and four due to inclement weather. There is also currently snow in the forecast for Tuesday when the team is in Chicago, though forecasts can always change.

The team is 5-3 and in first place in their division so far despite the start-and-stops, and the starting pitchers boast a top-three cumulative ERA in the league.
