Davis provided most of the offense with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the eighth. He has driven in seven runs in the last five games and has 16 RBIs in the month of May. Stewart’s solo home run in the fourth was his sixth this month. As for Mauricio, he now has a five-game hit streak and he has 34 hits in 88 at-bats this month (.386 average).

On Wednesday, Reyes gave up five runs, which was the most he has allowed in any Triple-A start this year. Five of the nine hits that Reyes allowed ended up going for extra-bases including a home run. In relief, Orze had five strikeouts, which ended up being a season-high for him. He has 14 strikeouts in 10 innings pitched this month (6 games).

Double-A

Richmond Flying Squirrels (21-19) 7, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (18-22) 2

Rudick continues to be a hitting machine for the Rumble Ponies, extending his hit streak to 11 games. His solo home run in the seventh was his seventh home run of the year. His 188 wRC+ ranks 8th among 841 qualified minor league hitters.

Vasil had been dominant for the month of May, but he ended up allowing a pair of home runs in the loss. He also left his start early. No update is available as of this time.

Ramírez got the scoring started on the game’s first pitch with a solo home run. The 20-year-old hit his first home run since May 16 and he had his 10th multi-hit game of the year.

In a rain-shortened game, the Mets’ offense managed only three hits and did not have a single extra-base hit. Ota had two of those hits and he recorded his third multi-hit game this month. Meanwhile, Williams recorded his 11th stolen base of the year (tied for seventh in the Florida State League).

Cuevas was making his Florida State League debut. The 19-year-old right-hander has a career ERA of 5.17 in 15 appearances (8 starts) and has 46 strikeouts in 38 1/3 innings pitched. Garcia came in relief and allowed four runs in four innings, which is the most he’s allowed in any appearance this year.
