Clifford has homered three times in his last four games. He only has two strikeouts in that span too, after having 24 in first 15 Double-A games.

Francisco Alvarez left the team to fly to Venezuela for a family matter.

Díaz allowed a triple and his fastball was up to 98 mph in his first rehab outing. After the game, the star closer said his fastball felt like it “got a new life”.

Pintaro was making his Mets system debut; recently, he became the first player in the Pioneer League (Indy ball) to sign during a game.

The 19-year-old Baez is third in the Florida State League with eight home runs.

Louis had nine whiffs in his relief performance, including five on his fastball, which was up to 95 mph.
