Díaz allowed a triple and his fastball was up to 98 mph in his first rehab outing. After the game, the star closer said his fastball felt like it “got a new life”.
Pintaro was making his Mets system debut; recently, he became the first player in the Pioneer League (Indy ball) to sign during a game.
