BOX SCORE

Mauricio’s great season at the Triple-A level continued Saturday night in dramatic fashion. It was his second home run over the last three games and he has driven in four runs across the last four.

Outside of Mauricio, Voit had his first three-hit game as a member of the Mets’ organization with one of those hits being a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth.

Vasil ran into some trouble in the early stages of his outing when he allowed solo home runs to two of the first three batters he faced. Out of the eight hits he allowed, five of them were for extra bases (three doubles). In addition, he has walked at least two batters in seven straight starts.

In the bullpen, Reid-Foley was able to get all four batters he faced (two strikeouts) and he has not allowed one hit in each of his last four outings.

High-A

Hudson Valley Renegades (50-39) 3, Brooklyn Cyclones (44-44) 0

BOX SCORE

The Cyclones’ offense was no match for Drew Thorpe as the Renegades right-hander threw eight scoreless innings, allowed two hits, walked a batter, and struck out 13 for his 10th win of the year.

After his six-hit performance Friday, Ramírez did have one of those two hits with a leadoff double in the top of the seventh. Every Cyclones’ player in the starting lineup had at least one strikeout.

Although Suarez did not have the same dominance as Thorpe did, he still put up a quality outing. The only three runs Hudson Valley scored came on a two-run double in the third and a solo home run in the fourth. The 23-year-old has struck out eight batters in each of the last two starts and has eight K’s in five of his last seven outings dating back to June 14.

Katrell Paz.

 Low-A

Palm Beach Cardinals (44-42) 6, St. Lucie Mets (31-57) 4

BOX SCORE

The lone Mets’ runs that came across home plate via a hit was a bases-clearing double by Paz in the top of the second. Williams had a single in this game, which gives him a hit in six of the last seven games. The three strikeouts he had were the most he had in a game since June 11.

The six runs that Palm Beach scored in the bottom of the eighth overshadows the strong outing put together by De La Cruz and Cuevas. De La Cruz had his second-highest strikeout total in any start this year (8) and he now has 32 strikeouts to six walks across 17 2/3 innings this month. Meanwhile, Cuevas matched his season high by striking out five of the seven batters he faced.
