BOX SCORE

 The Mets managed only five hits against four different Tides pitchers. Mauricio had the lone extra-base hit with a double, and he is now on a nine-game hit streak. Over the last four games, he is 9-for-18 with four doubles and three RBIs. Sánchez continued his good stretch games with the Mets, as he has had a hit in five of the seven games he has appeared in.

Bundy did not allow a home run in this start, but his outing was cut short after three innings due to being ejected.

 

Nuñez stepped in for Bundy and was able to limit the Tides from blowing the game open. The 26-year-old did allow his first run at Triple-A, but it was the second time he has gone three innings in an appearance this year. He’s held opponents to a .111 average against in his four outings this month.

 Double-A

New Hampshire FisherCats (18-16) 3, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (15-19) 1

BOX SCORE

 The Rumble Ponies were 0-for-10 on the night with men in scoring position and managed only one extra-base hit, a double by Gomez. Rudick have a hit in the game to extend his current hit streak to five.

Santos was unable to make it out of the second inning in his start on Wednesday, and it ended up being his shortest outing of the season. In three starts this month, the 21-year-old has walked nine batters in 12 innings of work. As a staff, the Rumble Ponies pitchers ended up having 10 walks to just 6 strikeouts in the loss.

 High-A

Brooklyn Cyclones (12-20) 7, Hudson Valley Renegades (22-13) 2

BOX SCORE

 The Cyclones broke open a 2-2 tie with four runs in the top of the sixth. Chase Estep got the scoring started in the second with an RBI triple and he has bounced back after a rough April (.050 average) to hitting .265 in May. Parada extended his hit streak to four games and he has had six doubles in 49 at-bats this month (.306 average).

  • LHP Daniel Juarez (0.00): 2 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 2 BB, 4 K (22 of 39 pitches for strikes)
  • RHP Paul Gervase (0.59): 2 IP. 0 ER, 1 H, BB, 2 K, HBP (22 of 38 pitches for strikes)

Tidwell only allowed two hits in five innings of work, but he did have a season-high five walks. With that being said, the 21-year-old right-hander has 19 strikeouts in three starts this month (12 innings) and it was a much-improved start compared to the one he had at Wilmington last week (1 2/3 IP, 7 ER).

The bullpen was able to shut out the Renegades for the final four innings. Juarez has yet to allow a run in 11 appearances this year and the lefty has had four strikeouts in each of the last two games (.080 BAA in May). As for Gervase, the 12thRound pick in 2022 has at least two strikeouts in five of his last six appearances.

Low-A

Palm Beach Cardinals (22-13) 8, St. Lucie Mets (8-27) 4

BOX SCORE

 The Mets were able to score three of their four runs in the bottom of the fifth thanks to an RBI groundout from Fernando Villalobos, an RBI triple from Dominguez, and a wild pitch. Dominguez just came back on Tuesday after being on the IL Since April 21.

Lara ended up having his second three-hit performance of the month, and he has six hits in his last four games. With this loss, the Mets have lost seven straight.

It was another rough outing for Atencio as he walked three or more hitters for the third time this year as he failed to get out of the first inning. As a staff, the St. Lucie pitchers had seven walks and five wild pitches in the defeat.
