Mets Minors Recap: R.J. Gordon Has Good Outing For Binghamton

Clay Holmes‘ next major league start may not be in a Mets uniform. But he suited up for the Triple-A Syracuse Mets on Thursday, his first game action since a come-backer broke his right fibula on May 15 against the Yankees. He allowed two runs on three hits over 2 1/3 innings and threw 28 of 51 pitches for strikes.

He walked two and struck out two, including a strikeout of Spencer Jones, the Yankee who hit the ball that sent Holmes to the injured list.
