The Syracuse Mets scored three runs on ten hits and five walks, meaning twelve runners were left stranded on the bases. One of the offensive leaders for the Mets was Orlando Calixte, who had a pair of singles. Also, Tomás Nido had two singles in the game, and the second single came in a big moment with the bases loaded in the fifth inning.

Finally, Travis Blankenhorn went the other way to hit a home run over the left field wall in the second inning, getting the Mets on the board early.

Jordan Yamamoto had an excellent start for the Mets, going three innings and only allowing one base runner. Then, Sean Reid-Foley relieved Yamamoto for the fourth inning and struck out a couple batters while keeping the Bisons at zero runs. To finish the game, Jesús Reyes allowed zero earned runs and two unearned runs in five innings pitched, striking out four batters in the process. In general, it was a great pitching day for the Syracuse Mets.

AA: Portland Sea Dogs (62-45) 7, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (46-55) 5 BOX SCORE

The Binghamton offense was led by two former Brooklyn Cyclones who were recently called up to play for the Rumble Ponies due to the team’s COVID-19 outbreak: Ronny Mauricio and Antoine Duplantis. Mauricio had two singles and a double, and Duplantis hit a two-run shot in the third inning. Overall, the Rumble Ponies scored five runs on nine hits and four walks.

Oscar De La Cruz got the start for Binghamton, allowing three earned runs across four innings. Then, Alec Kisena relieved De La Cruz in the fifth inning and allowed three earned runs across two innings. Alec Kisena was charged with the loss for the game.

Jose Chacin started the game for the Cyclones, giving up a pair of homers and a triple that contributed to five earned runs allowed in five innings. Once Chacin’s start concluded, Luis Montas and Evy Ruibal allowed two earned runs combined over the final three innings.

It was a quiet night on offense for St. Lucie, as they were shutout while only getting three hits and three drawn walks. Justin Guerrera had a hit in this game along with Alex Ramirez and Juan Uriarte.

The Mets used Corey Oswalt, who is on a rehab assignment, for the first inning. Oswalt pitched a scoreless inning and only allowed a hit. Then, Trey McLoughlin came into the game, allowing four earned runs in 3 2/3 innings pitched. Liam McCall had two strong innings at the end of the game, only allowing one base runner on a walk and striking out three batters in two innings.
