Box Score

Luis Guillorme began a rehab assignment with Syracuse on Friday, starting at third base and batting twice as he works his way back from an oblique injury. He had a groundball single to left, drew a walk, and made a nice defensive play before he was taken out of the game.

Khalil Lee had a productive game. He hit a 2-run single on a sharp ground ball to left in the first inning and hit a line drive double to right later in the game, his fourth Triple-A double of the season.

Patrick Mazeika had two hits, including an RBI double on a fly ball to right field.

Thomas Szapucki tossed another good game, lowering his ERA to 2.05. He allowed only three base runners over five innings. Unfortunately for Szapucki, two of those three baserunners were home runs. After walking one and striking out seven, his K% sits at 26.0% and his BB% at 11.5%.

Franklyn Kilome was used as a relief pitcher and he struggled with his control. It was his first time pitching out of the bullpen this year. Kilome has now walked more batters than he’s struck out this season.
