Las Vegas 9, Sacramento 3
Matt Reynolds homered as Las Vegas erupted for nine runs on twelve hits in Sacramento. Duane Below made his season debut and went six innings and gave up three runs on seven hits, with three walks while striking out five.
Reynolds led the offense, with a 3 for 5 night and his second home run of the season which you can watch here. Dilson Herrera went 2 for 6 with a double and 2 RBI. T.J. Rivera went 1 for 2 before exiting with an apparent leg injury. Box Score
Akron 3, Binghamton 2 F/10
RHP Robert Gsellman had an outstanding performance, but Binghamton’s bats could not give him a win. Gsellman went 6.1 innings, giving up a run on three hits, and striking out seven and walking three. Relief Prospect Akeel Morris blew the save in the bottom of the 9th, and then Mike Hepple gave up a walk-off sac fly to end the game.
L.J. Mazzilli, Niuman Romero, and Maikis De La Cruz were the only players who recorded hits. Top 1B Prospect Dominic Smith went 0-3 with a walk and a strikeout and is hitting .174 on the season. Box Score
Charlotte 4, St. Lucie 0
Prospect Chris Flexen and the St. Lucie Mets were blanked 4-0, as the St. Lucie team only registered five hits. Flexen gave up four runs on nine hits in six innings, while striking out four and walking two.
Luis Guillorme, Michael Katz, Wuilmer Becerra, Jhoan Urena, Patrick Biondi all registered a hit. Amed Rosario was 0-4 with a strikeout, failing to record a hit for just the third game this season. Box Score
Columbia 7, Charleston 0
Columbia returned the favor after Charleston’s thrashing on Monday, scoring seven runs and only allowing five hits. P.J. Conlon started the game, and went six innings, while giving up five hits and striking out six.
Notable leaders on the offensive side were Dash Winningham who went 2 for 2 with a double, three RBI and two walks, raising his average to .255. David Thompson had a hit and scored three times, and is hitting .277 on the season. Box Score
