The Brooklyn Cyclones got a walk-off win to give them sole position of first place. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies, behind a three-run homer from Jeremiah Jackson, put across seven runs in four innings before the game was suspended due to rain.

Mike Vasil had his second straight poor start, and much of that can be attributed to the fact he has pitched almost 42 more innings than he did last season. Dedniel NĂșñez continued his struggles in Triple-A, allowing four runs after Syracuse brought the game within one run going into the ninth.

Layonel Ovalles had a good game going until the wheels started to fall off in the sixth inning. Benito GarcĂa did an outstanding job of keeping the Cyclones within striking distance.
With the win, Brooklyn is now 0.5 games up on Jersey Shore in the playoff race.
