Billy Amick, who as just acquired from the Minnesota Twins in the A.J. Minter deal, homered in his first appearance with the New York Mets’ organization. Amick, despite troublesome strikeout numbers, has been a prolific home run hitter at the Double-A level this season. The seventh-inning shot was his 24th of the season.

Elsewhere, Jonathan Santucci made his Triple-A debut. He only lasted four innings but struck out seven. Meanwhile, Jacob Reimer registered two hits in another rehab outing for High-A Brooklyn.

Triple-A

Rochester Red Wings 3 (63-42), Syracuse Mets 1 (51-55)

Box Score

Syracuse was held to only three hits in their 3-1 loss on Saturday. The lone run came courtesy of a solo shot by Senger in the sixth. It was Senger’s ninth of the season; a career-best for Senger across his eight season minor league career.

Santucci, 23, made his first career start at the Triple-A level and endured four eventful innings. He allowed two runs and walked five but struck out seven. He induced 11 swing-and-misses.

Following Santucci, several different relievers who will likely feature at some point to end the season in Queens, made an appearance. Núñez and Yan each posted scoreless innings. Yan threw four pitches over 100 mph and since he was added to the 40-man roster recently, his Queens debut should be in the near future.

Double-A

Game 1: Binghamton Rumble Ponies 10 (37-63), Reading Fightin Phils  5 (49-51)

Box Score

In the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, the Binghamton offense exploded for 10 runs and 12 hits.

Leading the way was Lorusso, who continued his terrific season. The former ninth-round pick in 2023 hit two home runs and drove in five runs. His season OPS is up to .825; a large improvement on his .680 figure for Binghamton in 2025.

Collins, a sixth-round pick in 2024, is steadily rising through the ranks and was promoted on July 21. He has excelled since joining Binghamton and his 2-for-3 performance in the first game on Saturday rose his OPS to 1.186. He is 12-for-33 for Binghamton with four extra-base hits. He had a .791 OPS for Brooklyn (High-A) prior to being promoted.

Hall, 25, made his Double-A debut in game one on Saturday. He had a 4.58 ERA across 88 1/3 innings for Brooklyn prior to being promoted.

Amick, who was acquired on July 31 from the Minnesota Twins, made his Binghamton debut with a bang in the second game on Saturday’s doubleheader. Amick crushed a two-run homer in the seventh inning. The 23-year-old has now hit 24 home runs in Double-A this season. That figure ranks in the top-five of all Double-A hitters. His season OPS sits at .834.

Correa has played at three different levels in the Mets’ system this year. Despite allowing three earned runs over 1 1/3 innings on Saturday, he has a 3.44 ERA and 44 strikeouts across 26 total games and 34 innings this season. He has thrown seven innings in Triple-A, 18 1/3 innings in Double-A, and 8 2/3 innings in High-A.

Winston Salem Dash 6 (56-45), Brooklyn Cyclones 3 (41-58)

Box Score

Both Reimer and Ibáñez continued rehab assignments on Saturday for High-A Brooklyn. Each also had two hits apiece. Reimer, who has played at least one game at every level between the Florida Complex League and Brooklyn in his rehab is 8-for-22. It has been a struggle in Double-A prior to injury (.723 OPS).

Jenkins was superb on Saturday, working two perfect innings and striking out four. The 17th-round pick in 2023 has been one of the better pitchers in High-A this season as he owns a 1.99 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and .126 batting average against through 32 games and 40 2/3 innings of relief.

Single-A

St. Lucie Mets 6 (46-54), Dunedin Blue Jays 3 (47-52) – Final 10

Box Score

Tayman continued a strong start to his professional career by driving in two runs and adding a double on Saturday. Smith III, also a draftee in this year’s draft, stole a base and reached twice.

Meanwhile, Mathis, acquired in the David Peterson trade, continued his rehab assignment. He reached base three times but has struggled with St. Lucie with a .188 average and .488 OPS.

Mack, 23, was a 16th-round pick in the 2025 draft out of Loyola Marymount. After two hitless innings on Saturday, he lowered his ERA to 2.86 across 34 2/3 innings. He noticed his fifth win of the season as St. Lucie outlasted Dunedin in extra innings.

Dominican Summer League

DSL-Blue Jays Red 13 (25-17), DSL-Mets Blue 2 (16-28)

Box Score

DSL-Mets Blue were limited to only three hits on Saturday. Oramas and Michalle Mercedes were the lone hitters to drive in a run.

Oramas, 17, is hitting .314 across his first 86 professional at-bats.

Of the six DSL-Mets blue pitchers to appear in Saturday’s game Ozuna and Rochin each allowed two runs (one earned). Each also have ERAs below 3.25 on the season. Rochin, specifically, has a 3.24 mark across 25 innings his season. He is 19 years old.
