Brooklyn hit three solo home runs and their bullpen pitched well, but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Jersey Shore by a score of 4-3.

Álvarez hit his 23rd home run of the year, his 21st with Brooklyn. He has now hit .249/.351/.535 in 325 plate appearances as a Cyclone. Palmer’s hit was an infield single to Jersey Shore’s third baseman. In 150 plate appearances since being promoted to Brooklyn, he has hit .185/.293/.323.

It was a back-and-forth game until the bottom of the fourth inning when St. Lucie scored five runs to take an 8-3 lead over Jupiter. The Hammerheads kept chipping away at St. Lucie’s lead, but the Mets managed to hang on for an 8-7 win.

Ramirez hit his third triple of the season on a ground ball to right field. He now has 23 extra-base hits on the year. Kendall had another good offensive game. He hit his seventh double on a line drive to left and got on base three times in his five plate appearances.

Oswalt made his second rehab appearance as a he works his way back from a knee injury. He faced four batters in a scoreless first inning.

Santos, despite giving up five runs, was again able to provide length by tossing six frames.
