Adam Oller’s first start as a Syracuse Met went great, as he picked up the win, throwing a shutout and striking out thirteen batters across 6.2 innings. Franklyn Kilome got the four out save to secure Syracuse’s 33rd win.

Rincon hit a home run deep into left-center field in the bottom of the 6th inning, his sixth of the year. He also had a single in this game. Jake Mangum went 2-3 with a walk, a productive night at the plate.

Butto had a no-hitter going into the sixth inning. In this start, he was phenomenal, constantly leaving hitters guessing at the plate. Butto allowed two hits in the sixth inning before being replaced by Tommy Wilson. Wilson pitched two scoreless innings and his season ERA is now at only 0.90 for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

The Mets offense mustered two runs on only four hits. Matt O’Neill hit a home run in the 6th inning and Alex Ramirez hit his 11th RBI of the season for St. Lucie. However, in the shortened 7th inning game, the Mets were unable to string many hits together in the day game.

The St. Lucie Mets scored three runs on seven hits. Alex Ramirez hit a two run homer in the 5th inning, his 5th of the year for St. Lucie in 209 AB. Kevin Kendall hit two doubles and a single in the Saturday night game, an impressive display of hitting. Cesar Berbesi also had a triple in the night game occurring in the 1st inning.

The St. Lucie defense had three errors in the game which did not help out their pitchers in this night game. McLoughlin had his first start for St. Lucie, and he was effective by allowing only two baserunners across two innings. Kubichek pitched two innings and had some problems with his command, as he walked four batters in his two innings pitched.
Rookie: FCL Mets (17-15) 7, FCL Marlins (12-16) 2 BOX SCORE
The FCL Mets accumulated 12 hits on Saturday, scoring seven runs. Matt Rudick had three hits and Ronis Aybar had two hits to lead the scoring attack. Saul Gonzalez recorded his second win of the season, allowing only one earned run over five innings.
