This press release was just issued by Major League Baseball:
New York Mets Minor League second baseman Daniel Muno has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a metabolite of Drostanolone. The suspension of Muno, who is currently on the roster of Single-A St. Lucie Mets of the Florida State League, will be effective immediately.
Well how’s that for a sucker punch? Never saw it coming.
The 23-year old Muno was hitting .283/.339/.461 with 16 extra-base hits, including five home runs, 23 RBI’s, and seven SB’s, in 38 games for first place St. Lucie.
I just interviewed Danny this week right here on MMO: Interview I forgot to ask him about PED’s. Live and learn.
