Fresno  11, Las Vegas 10

Las Vegas bats finally broke for 10 runs on 18 hits but unfortunately the pitching was not good enough as they lost 11-10. Tyler Pill started the game for the 51’s lasting only 1.2 innings giving up six runs. The 51’s scored six times in the bottom of the 6th to take a 9-8 and take Pill off the hook. Duane Below pitched 4.1 in relief but gave up 3 runs in top of the 7th to relinquish the lead for good. Dilson Herrera had two hits (both of a righty) for his third  straight multi-hit game. Hitting in the 3rd hole Matt Reynolds finished 2-5 with 2B, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI’s. Kevin Plawecki collected three hits and his now 6-13 over his last three games. Alex Castellanos and Johnny Monell hit back to back homeruns in the 6th and both finished with three hits on the night. Box Score. Binghamton 8, Harrisburg 7

The B’Mets headed to the bottom of the 9th inning losing 7-5 when Brandon Nimmo (1-3, 2 walks) and T.J. Rivera (0-4, RBI) both walked with two outs to load the bases. Jayce Boyd came up against the Senators Paul Demny and hit a walk-off bases clearing double off the left field wall for Binghamton. Boyd was 2-5 with four RBI and has raised his average from .158 to .314 over the last 5 games. Aderlin Rodriguez reached base three times including his 2nd HR of the season and has now reached base in all five games he has played. Gavin Cecchini was boosted up to the leadoff spot for the first time after hitting mostly 8th, finishing 1-4 with three runs scored. Gabriel Ynoa had a very uncharacteristic wild outing walking five batters in 5 innings after only walking 25 hitters in 148 innings last year. Box Score. Binghamton now 6-3 on the season will send Luis Cessa to the mound this afternoon at 1:05 against Harrisburg.

Fort Myers 7, St. Lucie 0

Marcos Molina got his 2nd start of the season and pitched 5 innings allowing 6 runs (2 earned) while striking out 6. He started the 6th inning but left with the bases loaded and lefty Kyle Regnault let all of the inherited runners score. Regnault did settle down not allowing any of his own runs score in 2 innings of relief. The Mets were shutdown by the Twins #23 prospect Chih-Wei Hu who gave up only two hits in 7 innings while striking out 10. St. Lucie only mustered three hits the whole night with Dom Smith, Amed Rosario, and Jeff Glenn each having a single. Champ Stuart who was off to a torrid start, even being named on BA’s prospect hot sheet, had the dreaded golden sombrero. Box Score

Charleston 4, Savannah 3

The Sand Gnats fell to 3-5 on the season with Brad Wieck taking his 2nd loss of the season. Wieck only allowed one earned run over 4 innings but let nine runners reach base including four via walk. The Gnats offense was lead by Luis Guillorme who was 2-4 with a run scored and is has a slash line of. 346/.485/.346 on the season. John Mora and Wuilmer Becerra combined to go 0-7 with four strikeouts. Box Score. Casey Meisner will be on the mound tonight as Savannah takes on Charleston again at 6:05.
