Tacoma 4, Las Vegas (45-35) 2

Matt Reynolds was in the lineup in the DH slot for the 2nd straight night, he was 1-4 with his 5th homerun of the the year. Here is video of the homerun. He is still hitting just .223/.272/.357 outside of Las Vegas for the year. T.J. Rivera was 3-4 finishing a homerun short of the cycle, he is hitting .415/.441/.662 with 13 extra base hits and 11 RBI. Alex Castellanos was 2-4 with his league leading 27th double while playing third base. Reigning PCL player of the week Anthony Recker was 1-3 with a walk.

Matthew Bowman got the start going 5 innings giving up three runs on nine hits and three walks, his record on the year fell to 5-9. Chase Bradford pitched perfect 8th with one strikeout, he hasn’t allowed a run since June 13th. Box Score

Erie 5, Binghamton (39-38) 4

Binghamton scored four runs in the 3rd inning but failed to score again and the bullpen could not hold the early lead giving up two runs in the bottom of the 8th. Matt Koch was the culprit out of the pen giving up two runs on three hits and a walk while recording only one out. Adam Kolarek helped limit the damage striking the two hitters he faced to strand two inherited runner. Seth Lugo went 7 strong innings giving up three runs on eight without issuing a walk and striking out eight batters.

Eudy Pina lead the Mets offense in hits for the 2nd straight night going 3-4 with a run scored, he has 10 hits over his last four games and has raised his average to .303 on the year. Gavin Cecchini was 2-5 with his 30th RBI of the year, a good start to July after hitting only .208/.260/.302 in June. Michael Conforto was 1-4 with his 16th AA RBI (44th overall) and a run scored while extending his hitting streak to a modest 4 games. St. Lucie (39-38) 8, Jupiter 2

The Mets offense broke open a tie game in the 8th with six runs that concluded on a RBI double by Dominic Smith. Smith now has a league leading 27 doubles while being 2nd in the FSL league with his 47 RBI. Jeff McNeil was 2-4 with a walk, run scored, and his 19th RBI of the year while playing SS to give Amed Rosario a day off, still leads FSL league in hitting at .333. Cuban catcher Lednier Ricardo was 3-4 with his first professional double and RBI.

Miller Diaz started for St. Lucie going 5.2 innings giving up only one run on three hit and four walks while striking out seven. He was not a factor in the decision but lowered his ERA to 3.68 and the league is hitting just .233 against him. Robert Coles pitched 2.1 innings allowing an unearned run while striking out two and picking up his 2nd win of the year. Box Score

Augusta 5, Savannah (40-36) 2

Casey Delgado took the tough luck loss going 8.1 innings giving up five runs(two earned) on six hits and zero walks or strikeouts. Alberto Baldonado relieved him allowing both inherited runners to score before striking out two hitters.

John Mora led the offense with three hits also knocking in his 35th run of the season, now hitting .304/.386/.435 with runners in scoring position this year. Tomas Nido was 2-4 with his 2nd triple of the year and scored a run. Wuilmer Becerra was 1-3 with a walk and his 8th stolen base of the year. Jonathan Johnson, Luis Guillorme, and Eudor Garcia each had one hit on the night. Box Score

Brooklyn (8-4) 7, Hudson 0

Cyclones starter Tyler Badamo was spectacular needing only 63 pitches (46 strikes) to get through 7 one-hit scoreless innings with zero walks and four strikeouts to pick up his first win of the year.

Mets 4th rounder David Thompson has had a good start to his pro career, after going 2-4 with a RBI last night he has now had a RBI and hit in each of his first 5 pro starts. He is hitting .350 with six RBI over that span. Pedro Perez and Natanael Ramos each homered for the first time of the year. Box Score

Danville 9, Kingsport (5-4) 4 

Dash Winningham hit his 2nd homerun of the year, he has 10 RBI in just nine games so far this year and is slugging .579. Milton Ramos was 2-4 with his 3rd double of the year, has 13 hits in eight games to start the year. Arnaldo Berrios was 2-4 with a two-run triple while Raphael Ramirez was 1-3 with two runs scored out of the leadoff spot. Patrick Mazeika was 1-4 while playing first base and hitting cleanup.

Mets 2015 draft picks Chase Ingram (6th) and Dillon Becker (16th) combnied to throw four scoreless innings to close out the win. Box Score

Ali Sanchez was 3-5 with two runs scored, it was his third straight game with three hits and is now 10-21 on the season. Kenneth Bautista was 3-5 with a RBI, stolen base, and two runs scored, the 2015 23rd rounder is hitting .375 in his pro career so far.
