A report by Cody Derespina on Newsday points out that through the Mets’ first seven home games this season, the team is averaging 35,268 fans.

2015: 35,268 (7-0)

2014: 30,506 (2-5)

2013: 27,811 (5-2)

2012: 32,317 (4-3)

2011: 30,027 (1-6)

2010: 32,685 (3-4)

2009: 37,424 (4-3)

It’s the highest average attendance during the same time period at Citi Field since its inaugural season in 2009.

Tickets prices are up slightly on the secondary market according to data from Front Row Tickets, but you can still find some excellent deals on Mets Tickets.

Obviously, the 7-0 record at Citi Field, and the 10-3 record overall, has a lot to do with it. Which only proves that winning is the best way to boost attendance not Huey Lewis and the News  or David Wright magnetic calendar day.

So keep the streak alive, keep winning, and Let’s Go Mets.
