According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, New York Mets hitting coach Pat Roessler will not return for the 2019 season.

Roessler was hired as the Mets assistant hitting coach in 2015. After Kevin Long was fired and left the organization for the Nationals last offseason, Roessler was promoted to the role of hitting coach.

The Mets offense averaged just 4.17 runs per game and had a franchise high 1,404 strikeouts in 2018.

Mike Puma of the NY Post also notes that assistant hitting coach Tom Slater will remain with the team in his current role, and bullpen coach Ricky Bones will be reassigned within the organization.
