With left-hander Justin Wilson reportedly heading to the Bronx to join the Yankees, and the Mets still having a need in the bullpen, they have shifted their attention to righty Trevor Rosenthal.

Mike Puma of the New York Post says the Mets are “in” on Rosenthal and have been in contact with his camp.

Rosenthal, 30, split the shortened 2020 season between the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres, and was dominant, as he logged a 1.90 ERA between the two clubs.

Rosenthal also had some pretty serious advanced numbers:

Rosenthal is one of the best free agents still available and would give the Mets a huge boost in their bullpen, especially after losing Seth Lugo to the injured list.
