The Mets get swept by the Braves as they lose 6-3. Dickey got tagged for six runs and ten hits in six innings. The bullpen didn’t help much either as they gave up two runs. The offense didn’t do much either, other than David Wright’s 24th homerun of the season.

Game Summary

R.A. Dickey got blasted today in the final game of the Braves series. He got beat up for four runs on ten hits a HBP and two walks with no strikeouts in six innings of work and 102 pitches thrown. He received his seventh lose of the season but still keeps his ERA low with a 2.92.

Feliciano and Manny “Acostalypse” combined to pitched the seventh inning and gave up two runs, one hit, a homerun and two walks. Valdes and Dessens combine for the eighth inning with a scoreless inning. Pat Misch rounded out with a scoreless ninth inning.

Not much offense again as, even though they got eight hits, they only scored three runs. A two-run homerun from David Wright and a run scored on a double play.

Mets 3-4-5 hitters had the biggest night as, Beltran, Ike Davis, and David Wright combined for five hits, two runs and two RBIs with Wright’s 24th homerun of the season.

The other three hits came from the youngsters Thole and Evans and the former Ranger, Arias.

Lucas Duda went 0-1 with a walk and a strikeout. He now has a .140 average.

Mets win leader for the season, Mike Pelfey, starts for the Mets as they head to Florida for a two game series. The Marlins will have Adalberto Mendez on the mound for them. The Mets have never seen Mendez before, so this should be interesting. Game time is 7:10 PM.
