The Nationals announced that Friday’s scheduled game against the Mets, which was supposed to be played at Nationals Park at 6:05 p.m. ET, has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up tomorrow (September 26) as part of a doubleheader, with the rescheduled game being played at 3:05 and the regularly scheduled game will take place approximately 30 to 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

As has been adopted by Major League Baseball throughout this 60-game season, each game of the doubleheader will have a regulation length of seven innings.

After the doubleheader, the Mets will have just one more game on Sunday, with Seth Lugo taking the mound for the season finale. At 26-31, the Mets have already been guaranteed a losing record regardless of the outcomes in the next two days.

The Nationals find themselves in an even worse spot at 23-34, having already been eliminated from potential postseason play.
