The quest for ownership of the New York Mets is coming to a crescendo. According to Sportico, the bidders that are interested in buying the franchise have until August 31st to make their final and binding offers.
Allen & Co., the firm overseeing the sales process, made the deadline known to bidders on Tuesday night in an email.
“We look forward to receiving your final offer,” the letter said. Other items of note in the email included each groups sources of financing and a list of members in their bid group.
The final bids will mark the beginning of the end to a sales process that began in December 2019.
