LAS VEGAS 7, SACRAMENTO 6

The only game played in the Mets minors yesterday, this one was certainly a battle of the bats as both teams went back and forth the entire game.  Daisuke Matsuzaka gave up five hits and three earned runs in five innings, walking four and striking out four, but the Mets eventually won the game on a Matt den Dekker walk off single in the bottom of the ninth.  Cesar Puello walked with the bases empty with two outs and swiped second base to give den Dekker the opportunity.  Puello finished the game with two hits, a walk, and a strikeout in five at-bats raising his average to .350 on the year.  Rafael Montero will get the ball on Tuesday at 7:05 as the 51’s look to win their third contest in a row.
