Buffalo Bisons 2 – Syracuse Chiefs 3
Mark Cohoon start had much better results than last start although the peripherals weren’t much better. He allowed 11 baserunners in just five innings that had him in consistent trouble, he just found ways out of it with minor damage today. In the 1st inning there were two on and he got out of it, in the 2nd he allowed a solo homer and single to start things but the Chiefs’ pitcher bunted into a double play to limit things, and in the 3rd he allowed a run on back-to-back doubles and had two on with one out but didn’t let anymore runs, and then it finally looked like he settled down and was perfect in the 4th until he loaded the bases in the 5th only to get out of it with no runs. Things could have been much worse and Cohoon is just fortunate the weren’t. With two outs and the bases loaded in the 11th inning, Mike O’Connor allowed the walkoff single.
Things looked promising early on for the offense. They put up a run in each of the first two innings and managed five hits over that time. Fernando Martinez had a two-out single in the 1st that scored Josh Satin, who improved his hit streak 14 games, and Jesus Feliciano had a two out single to score Raul Chavez after Cohoon helped himself by sacrificing him to second. In the 10th inning Feliciano led off with a triple and they couldn’t get him home. Satin struckout, Zach Lutz was hit by a pitch, and Val Pascucci and F-Mart both flied out.

Binghamton Mets 6 – Trenton Thunder 5
A terrific outing from Collin McHugh who is having a pretty damn good season for the B-Mets. His command was spot on and resulted in almost a trouble free start. He was perfect in the first two innings, allowed a pair of runners in the next two, and finally allowed a run to score in his 5th and final inning of work when a leadoff walk and wild pitch came around to bite him. Tobi Stoner got abused in releif. Hopefully he is released in the off season.
The 1st inning had a big two out rally from the B-Mets. Reese Havens doubled to extend the inning only to see the Thunder pitcher load the bases on walks and have Michael Fisher clear the bases with a double. In the 2nd inning Kai Gronauer got thrown out at home on a single by Jordany Valdespin. Raul Reyes had a two-run homer in the 6th and Michael Fisher had his second two-out RBI of the game in the 7th that scored the winning run.

The rare pitchers duel for the K-Mets. Jacob Lugo and Chasen Bradford were excellent although neither of them is much a prospect at the moment. Dustin Lawley singled home the winning run in the 3rd inning.
