Bobby-Abreu

Las Vegas 11, El Paso 4

Jacob deGrom took the mound for the 51′s on Sunday and came away with the win. The 6’4 right-hander went just five innings, allowed three runs, walked a pair and struck out six. The 26-year old righty, now has a 1.57 ERA with a 0.957 WHIP in four starts with 21 strikeouts in 23.0 innings pitched.

The Las Vegas offense exploded in the fifth inning for six runs, highlighted by homers off the bats of Daniel Muno and soon-to-be Met Bobby Abreu. Muno finished the game going 4-for-4 at the dish with four RBI.

Abreu ends his time with Las Vegas batting .395 in 15 games with a .500 on-base, one home run, four doubles and six RBI in 45 plate appearances.

Former Met Jeff Francoeur pitched a scoreless inning of relief after El Paso had exhausted all their available arms in their bullpen.

Allan Dykstra would add a longball in the 6th inning as the 51′s would cruise to an easy victory.

Player Of The Night

Second baseman Danny Muno earned player of the night honors by going 4-for-4 with a homer and four RBI for the first place 51′s.
