Mike Puma of the NY Post says that the Mets are keeping tabs on reliever Tommy Hunter. Puma says Hunter is seeking a multi year contract, but the Mets only want to sign relievers to one year deals.

Hunter, 29, posted a 4.18 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over 60.1 innings pitched last season for the Cubs and Orioles. However, he was previously coming off two solid seasons in 2013 and 2014 where he thrived in the late innings of Baltimore’s bullpen. He had a solid 2.88 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 3.46 FIP and a 4.35 K/BB ratio in this span.

Hunter seems like a good bet for a bounce back season, and could also be a nice value if the Mets can lower his demands to a one year contract. . He can still throw over 95 MPH and has excellent command as his career  2.0 BB/9 shows.
