The Mets have announced their roster for the best-of-three Wild Card Series vs the Padres that begins on Friday night at Citi Field. Mets top prospect Francisco Álvarez becomes the youngest player at 20 years old in team history to make a playoff roster. The other big news is Mets outfielder Starling Marte being on the roster after missing time recently with a fractured finger.
Mets pitchers Carlos Carrasco, Taijuan Walker, and Trevor Williams did not make the Wild Card roster. Tyler Naquin and Mark Vientos have been left off the roster as well.
