Laura Albanese of Newsday reports that Steven Matz will not be going on the disabled list.
Tim Britton of the Athletic confirms this, saying that the left-hander only has a slight strain of the middle finger and is day-to-day.

Mets left-hander Steven Matz left Tuesday night’s contest with the Atlanta Braves prior to the bottom of the fourth inning with what the team is calling middle finger discomfort. X-rays came back negative.
During warm-ups for the inning, manager Mickey Callaway and trainer Brian Chicklo came out to the mound, with the latter seen pressing on Matz’s finger.
The 27-year-old pitched three strong innings and even recorded a double before leaving. The injury actually happened during a swing that same at-bat where he lost the bat on a swing and bent his finger back.
If it’s serious, this would be another brutal blow to the Mets starting rotation. Just earlier today, fellow starter Noah Syndergaard was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a strained finger ligament.
On the season, Matz is 2-3 with a 3.80 ERA in nine starts.
He will undergo an MRI test to see if there is any ligament damage.
