As reported by MMN last night, middle infielder Luis Guillorme was held out of Las Vegas’ lineup last night indicating he may be called-up to take Asdrubal Cabrera‘s spot on the roster.

According to Tim Healey of Newsday, Guillorme has now been called up.

Guillorme currently has a four-game hitting streak, and he has hit .301/.356/.376 with four doubles, a homer, and 11 RBI since being sent back down to Las Vegas.

In his 29 games in the majors, he had hit .172/.250/.207 with two doubles and four RBI.

It will be interesting to see how the Mets utilize Guillorme with Jeff McNeil, who the team has already stated they see as a second baseman, and Jose Reyes on the roster.
