Lucas Duda was scratched from Tuesday night’s lineup due to a stiff back, said manager Terry Collins.

It was initially believed that Duda was getting a routine game off with a left-handed pitcher on the mound.

Daniel Murphy is starting at first base in Duda’s place, with Michael Cuddyer making his return to the lineup in right field.

“I think Murph is a very good first baseman and I think he transitions well there. I’m not worried about him,” Collins told reporters.

Collins added that the back issue is not a concern and Duda himself said it’s not serious. He is listed as day to day.
