What do Lebron James and Felix Hernandez have in common? That’s right – two kings who don’t want to come to NY. Granted, only one of those player is actually a King in my eyes…

In any case, I just wanted to put this short piece up because of something I noticed on MLBTR.

Mariners ace Felix Hernandez can block trades to ten teams, and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports learned eight of them: the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Cubs, Angels, Dodgers, Rangers, and Phillies.

Although we haven’t heard any news at all about the Mets trading for Felix Hernandez (or any other team for that matter), it’s just a good time to stop any seeds before they grow. I’m not even sure if the Mets would have enough to acquire Hernandez in a trade but a man can dream, right?

In any case, it’s interesting that he can veto a team to teams that would be willing to commit decent money; the Yankees especially. It almost seems as if he doesn’t want to play in a big market team. It’s not my place to assume however – just to throw the point out there to anyone who hasn’t heard.

So life goes on…and it makes me think. On the topic of trading, do you think the Mets will be buyers or sellers at the deadline?
