Jenrry MejiaOft-injured righthander Jenrry Mejia has suffered another setback, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.

Mejia was starting to show positive signs in his extended spring training rehab, writes Puma. But he had a flare up last week.

Once the top pitching prospect in the Mets system, Mejia has endured a myriad of injuries throughout his career. Most recently, he was shut down during spring training after experiencing soreness in his right elbow. He was placed on the 60-day disabled list with right elbow tendinitis and inflammation two weeks ago.

The 23-year old last pitched for the Mets on September 30, 2012. He made three starts last season and appeared in five games while posting a 5.63 ERA. He missed the entire 2011 season due to Tommy John Surgery.
