The Mets recalled Travis Blankenhorn from Triple-A Syracuse in his place.

Jacob deGrom

The Mets’ ace received a second opinion his his inflamed elbow in Los Angeles, and despite there not being ligament damage and the inflammation in his elbow going down, the Mets were advised to play it safe with their top pitcher. DeGrom, who was in the middle of one of the most dominant seasons for a pitcher in recent memory with a 1.08 ERA over 15 starts, has not pitched since July 7.

“He is improving,” Rojas said.

Francisco Lindor

While Lindor said he still does not know when he can expect to be back on the field for the Mets, he did indicate that he is making progress.

“I’m getting closer to seeing more realistic action,” Lindor said. “So looking forward to those days.”
