Jarred Kelenic will be heading to the NL East to join the Atlanta Braves via trade, according to Ken Rosenthal.

Ryan Divish says that Kelenic will join Mariners teammates Marco Gonzales and Evan White in heading to Atlanta. Jackson Kowar, who the Braves just traded Kyle Wright for, and prospect Cole Phillips will head to Seattle.

This deal is happening on the anniversary of the Robinson Cano/Edwin Diaz/Kelenic trade.

The deal feels like a bit of a money-clearing move for the Mariners, attaching about $22 million to Kelenic to get him to the Braves. Gonzales gives the Braves pitching depth, and White was a former first-round pick but has been injured for much of the past two years.

The Braves will now have Kelenic under control for likely five more seasons.
