J-Rod and company seem to be preparing quite well to run the New York Mets, if their bid at the team gives them the opportunity to do so.
According to a New York Post story, the couple, accompanied by a few senior bankers from JPMorgan Chase’s private wealth group, recently flew to Foxborough, Mass. to meet with the Bob and Jonathon Kraft, the primary owners of the New England Patriots.
The five-hour meeting was to talk about a potential partnership for stadium operations of Citi Field and the development of Willets Point.
One of the senior bankers attending the trip was Mary Callahan Erdoes, the CEO of the JPMorgan Chase’s Asset and Wealth Management group, who is also considered a potential successor to JPMorgan chief Jamie Dimon.
Athletes Travis Kelce, Brian Urlacher, DeMarco Murray, Bradley Beal, and Mason Plumlee are part of a group of investors that have joined the J-Rod group in their bid for the Mets.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, along with their team of bidders, make up one of three known potential groups to make second round bids for the team. Their bid is joined by billionaire Steve Cohen and the Harris Blitzer group.
