Mets’ infielder/outfielder J.D. Davis has begun working his way back from a jammed shoulder he sustained during a Spring game last week.

According to Justin Toscano of The Record/North Jersey, Davis is swinging a bat with his right arm. While it’s not a full swing, he is just going through the motions.

Davis has also begun playing catch and taking ground balls in the outfield. Toscano adds, however, there is currently no timetable for his return.

The California native hit .307/.369/.527 with 22 home runs and 57 RBI in 140 games for the Mets last year.

Davis has been taking reps at third base this Spring so far, but will likely see a fair share of time in left field this season as well.
