Mets’ infielder/outfielder J.D. Davis exited Sunday’s contest against the Kansas City Royals after re-aggravating his calf.

Davis, 26, came on in the seventh inning down 4-3 as a pinch hitter and knocked in the tying run, but tweaked his calf advancing to third on a double from Tomas Nido. He was replaced on the base paths with Ruben Tejada.

The California native originally hurt his calf on Friday, but was available off the bench on both Saturday and Sunday.

Coming in to this afternoon, Davis was hitting .310/.373/.512 with 14 home runs and 40 RBI.
