Like any other MLB opening day roster, it is peppered with some question marks and far from perfect. The roster we start the season with is hardly the one you end the season with. There will be much evolving and tweaking over the next few weeks and months as some players play their way out of the equation while other players step up and get promoted.

It’s going to be a fun season, my friends!

My hope this year is for a winning season and to break our five year losing streak. As currently constructed, and knowing the great young players that are on the way, I see at minimum an 83 win team here. Anything less than that and someone is going to have to be held accountable.

But for today, I’m just focusing on the moment and the happy occasion that is Opening Day. I’ve missed watching this team in a real game and look forward to some real competition and some real baseball.

I have so many questions as do most of you… But together we’ll sort through all of them over the next six months. For today however, just cook up some hot dogs, grab a cold one and enjoy the return of Mets Baseball!
